I am still amazed at the awesome work of our great God. His mercies are so beautiful to me. I want to continually thank Him for His great work. I want a heart attitude that remembers.
So, today...I say "thank you" all over again. God's rich and precious mercies are so good to us. Two years ago we were waiting in anticipation. Hands clenched with prayer. Hearts broken before Him. Desperate that He would hear us and respond. Ultimately trusting that His will was best...no matter the outcome.
And back in December of 2010 God said, "Yes!" It's wild to me that He said yes. I have no word on how the other patients are doing. I do know that my mother's donor is well. The two of them have become kindred spirits in all of this. Trading gifts and such here and there. Visiting. Praying. Connecting. Thankful. My father's recipient never contacted him. Maybe it's a man thing. Men just doing do that sort of thing as much. I pray that everyone is well and healthy and active.
My parents are doing well. At this very moment they are planning a trip to Europe for the summer. Who would have thought that they would be traveling to Europe two years ago? Well, that's the plan. They are enjoying their grandkids. They are serving in the local community. They are like the Energizer Bunny: they keep going and going and going.
I can't help but praise God for His great, great work here. May His great name forever be lifted high!
